Congress heard hundreds of our GDIT stories
We delivered the postcards hundreds of our coworkers wrote describing how hard it is to get by on the low-wages at GDIT. We took part in a briefing, where a crowd gathered to hear us tell our stories. We spent hours in meetings at Congress members’ offices, telling them about how we are not making the wages we deserve at GDIT. They made commitments to help us in our fight for better pay and working conditions.
We have many powerful allies in Congress like Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren and Representatives Ro Khanna, Rosa DeLauro, and Bennie Thompson and we’re gaining even more. And because GDIT is a federal contractor, elected leaders could have a real impact on our fight.
