Did you see us in the news?

On October 29, we held a rally outside our call center in Hattiesburg, MS calling for fair pay and a union at all CMS call centers. We were joined by local elected leaders and allied organizations who have our back, and we spoke out about the struggles we face making ends meet while working at GDIT.

It was a powerful experience and we hope GDIT and Maximus heard us loud and clear: We are united for a union and for fair pay for all.

We even made the news - including TV, the front page of the Clarion-Ledger, and a story in the Hattiesburg American.Watch the story on Fox 23 here.

Thousands of people tuned in to watch the rally online. Did you catch the live stream? Click here to watch the entire rally from start to end.

A new report was also released showing that higher pay at the call center will benefit the entire Hattiesburg community by injecting tens of millions of dollars into the local economy and creating hundreds of new jobs. We're putting real pressure on federal contractors like GDIT and Maximus to pay working people what we are owed!

Shoot us an email at GDITunion@cwa-union.org if you have questions or want to get involved! And be sure to see one of your local organizing committee members about signing our petition to members of Congress. This petition asks that our elected leaders keep the pressure on federal contractors like MAXIMUS to pay us the proper wages and to not interfere with our organizing efforts. ✊
